I just came across a problem which I wondered I wasn't confronted with before: (automagically) count words of a LaTeX document. If someone imposes a word-count-limit on you you better know whether you meet the requirement or not. That can be more complicated than you think, so I'm gonna elaborate on my current best practice approach to the problem in the following.

Diese Gelegenheit habe ich mir natuerlich nicht entgehen lassen, um ein weiteres technisches Spielzeug mein eigen nennen zu koennen. Da die original Software doch an der einen oder anderen Stelle zu wuenschen uebrig laesst gehoerte natuerlich so schnell wie moeglich Linux (neutrino) auf die Box, um deren volles Potential auch ausschoepfen zu koennen.
When it comes to my system configuration I am kind of a creature of
habit. There are many things I figured out as being incredibly useful for my efficiency at work. And I do NOT want to miss these things on any PC I am working at. That is exactly what dotfiles are for and I make heavy use of these customizers.
